Q1: Why does the MX4 have a Dual-Mode switch on the side?
A1: 3.6/3.7V Li-ion batteries require a 4.2V cut-off voltage, while 3.2V LiFePO4 batteries only require 3.65V. If you charge a 3.2V battery on a standard 4.2V charger, it will overcharge and get damaged. The switch allows you to manually select the correct charging profile to ensure the safety of LiFePO4 cells.
Q2: Does this charger come with batteries?
A2: NO. The XTAR MX4 is sold as a charger unit only. You need to purchase 3.6V/3.7V, 1.5V, 3.2V LiFePO4, or 1.2V NiMH rechargeable batteries separately.
Q3: Can I charge a 21700 battery with the MX4?
A3: Yes, but only for flat-top or unprotected 21700 batteries. The slot length is designed to fit unprotected 21700s. If your 21700 has a protection board (making it longer, typically 74.8mm), it might not fit into the MX4 slot.
Q4: How do I know which mode to select?
A4: For standard 3.6/3.7V Li-ion or 1.5V Li-ion batteries, keep the switch at "Li-ion/Ni-MH". When you are charging 3.2V LiFePO4 batteries, slide it to "LiFePO4" mode. The LED light will turn yellow when charging LiFePO4.
Q5: Does it automatically stop charging when full?
A5: Yes. The MX4 uses a professional 3-stage charging algorithm. Once the battery reaches its precise cut-off voltage (e.g., 4.2V for Li-ion), the charger automatically stops and the LED light turns green.

You have 30 calendar days from the date you received your item(s) to request a return. Any return request submitted after 30 days will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Defective or Incorrect Items: If the item you received is defective, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, OneAndes will cover the return shipping cost. In this case, we will provide you with a prepaid return shipping label.

Buyer’s Remorse / Non-Defective Returns: If you are returning an item for any other reason (e.g., no longer needed, ordered the wrong model), you are responsible for the return shipping costs. You must prepay the return shipping cost using a trackable carrier that accepts lithium batteries. We do not provide prepaid return labels for non-defective returns.

Lithium Battery Shipping Regulations: By law, all returns must be shipped in compliance with applicable dangerous goods regulations. We will provide guidance on proper packaging and labeling. Failure to comply may result in carrier refusal, seizure, or additional fees. We are not responsible for returned items lost or rejected by the carrier due to improper shipping.
5. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return at our Rancho Cucamonga, CA facility, we will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your refund.

All OneAndes batteries are backed by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
