Q: Is this a protected battery?
A: No, this is an unprotected flat top cell, which is standard for high-drain applications. This allows unrestricted current flow. Your device should have its own protection circuit, and for multi-cell packs, you must install an external BMS rated for at least 35A.
Q: Why 2500mAh and not 3000mAh or 3500mAh?
A: High-drain cells like this one prioritize current delivery over maximum capacity. To safely output 25A with low internal resistance, the design trades some capacity. If your device draws less than 10A, a 3500mAh cell will offer longer runtime. For high-current devices, a stable voltage under load is far more important than a few hundred extra mAh.
Q: Can I use these in a regular LED flashlight or headlamp?

No fancy branding, just decent 18650s that work. I rotate them in my EDC flashlight and they haven't failed. Will order another 2-pack for my headlamp.
I power a small projector with these. They provide enough juice for a 2-hour movie without a hiccup. The flat top allows them to stack in the holder correctly.
My handheld fan runs for nearly a whole day on low with this cell. It's a great upgrade from alkaline AA adapters. Stays cool while discharging.
My charger bay is tight and these are just a hair shorter than my Samsung cells. Still work, just need to ensure contact. Performance is solid for LED lights.
I use these in my bike headlight. During winter commutes they power the 800-lumen light for the whole ride. The cold didn't affect performance much.

You must prepay the return shipping cost using a trackable carrier that accepts lithium batteries. We do not provide prepaid return labels for non-defective returns.

Lithium Battery Shipping Regulations: By law, all returns must be shipped in compliance with applicable dangerous goods regulations. We will provide guidance on proper packaging and labeling.
