2500mAh (9.25Wh) 3.7V 18650 10C High-Drain Rechargeable Li-ion Battery – 25A Continuous for Turbo Flashlights, RC Models & Power Tools
Description
The 25-Amp Powerhouse
This is not a battery that merely glows — it roars. With a continuous discharge rating of 25 amps (10C), this 2500mAh 18650 cell is purpose‑built to feed the hungriest handheld devices you own. It fuses a respectable 9.25 watt‑hours of energy with an ultra‑low internal resistance, delivering an instant, sustained surge of current that keeps turbo flashlights blinding, power tools biting, and RC models launching off the line. If your gear has ever felt starved under load, this cell is the high‑octane fuel it craves.
Unprotected, Uncompromising
We deliberately omitted an external protection PCB. The reward is a cell that measures just 65.0mm (flat top) or 66.5mm (button top) — slender enough for the most crowded tool battery casings and the tightest flashlight tubes. Without a protection board, electrical resistance drops to an extraordinary low, allowing 25A to flow with minimal heat. In return, you assume the simple responsibility of pairing it with a quality charger that stops at exactly 4.2V, and installing it only in devices that already manage low‑voltage cutoff. Every modern power tool, brushless RC electronic speed controller, and enthusiast‑grade flashlight already does this — making the match seamless.
Choose Your Terminal: Button Top or Flat Top
Because no single shape fits every device, we supply both. The Button Top version has a raised positive nipple (~1.5mm) that locks securely into spring‑loaded contacts, easily clearing physical reverse‑polarity guards. The Flat Top version features a totally flush positive end — mandatory for custom spot‑welded battery packs, ultra‑compact lights with pogo‑pin contacts, and any compartment where a single extra millimeter would prevent the cap from closing. Pick the variant your manual specifies; enjoy a perfect, rattle‑free fit.
Where 25A Transforms Performance
The cell’s 10C rating means it can safely discharge 25 amps continuously — more than triple what a standard energy cell can handle. In a modern turbo flashlight pulling 8–15A, it eliminates voltage sag entirely: the LED stays at full brightness until thermal regulation kicks in, not electrical starvation. In a cordless drill or impact driver, the motor bites into hardwood and metal without stuttering, maintaining torque even under heavy load. In a 1/10‑scale RC truck or speed boat, the burst current rips through the drivetrain, delivering instant wheelies and relentless acceleration. The genuine 2500mAh capacity ensures you get about 6–8 minutes of full‑throttle action — or far longer at partial throttle — making it the ideal cell for high‑performance tasks that demand both punch and usable capacity.
Safety Woven into the Design
Even without a protection IC, the cell is far from vulnerable. A built‑in PTC thermistor suppresses dangerous over‑current spikes, while a resealable pressure vent releases gas if internal pressure ever reaches critical levels due to extreme abuse. The nickel‑plated steel can shrugs off drops, corrosion, and everyday wear. With over 500 full charge cycles and exceptionally low self‑discharge, you can store this cell for months at the recommended voltage and rely on it to wake up instantly when the next job, race, or night hike calls.
Key Features
-
10C Ultra‑High Discharge (25A Continuous)
Unlocks the full potential of turbo flashlights, power tools, and RC models. Where ordinary cells sag and overheat, this 25A brute holds its voltage steady. -
Balanced 2500mAh Capacity (9.25Wh)
Delivers approximately 6–8 minutes of full‑throttle 25A operation, or hours on lower modes. The sweet spot for high‑drain applications that need both current and a usable amount of energy. -

Applications
1. Turbo Flashlights & High‑Lumen Hot‑Rods
If your light pulls 10–20A on turbo — Emisar D4, Noctigon KR4, Fireflies, or custom FET‑driven builds — this cell eliminates the bottleneck. You’ll get maximum lumens without premature step‑down, and the 2500mAh capacity keeps the beam shining for several minutes of full blast. Choose flat top for ultra‑tight tubes, button top for spring‑contact hosts.
2. RC Cars, Trucks & Boats
Build a 2S or 3S Li‑ion pack for your 1/10‑scale racer, crawler, or speed boat. The 25A continuous discharge feeds both brushed and brushless systems with relentless torque, while the compact flat‑top cells weld easily into stick packs or saddle configurations. Expect noticeable runtime gains over 1500mAh sport packs.
3. Power Tool Battery Rebuilds
Replace worn‑out cells in drills, impact drivers, circular saws, and glue guns. These 10C cells deliver the instant 15–25A spikes that modern power tools demand, keeping the motor spinning under load. The flat top is perfect for spot‑welding into 5S1P or 5S2P packs; the button top works in many tool adapters.
4. High‑Power Laser Pointers
Handheld lasers drawing 5–15A require a cell that maintains stable voltage and doesn’t overheat. This 2500mAh high‑drain battery ensures consistent brightness and protects sensitive driver electronics from voltage sag.
5. DIY High‑Performance Battery Packs
Create a portable 12V power source for camping fridges, drone ground stations, or portable PA systems. The low internal resistance allows efficient series connections, and the 2500mAh per cell gives a usable capacity without excessive weight.
6. Regulated Vaping Mods (Within Safe Limits)
In regulated mods that support up to 25A, this cell delivers the steady current required by sub‑ohm tanks. Always verify your device’s specifications and observe Ohm’s law. Flat‑top variants fit most removable‑battery sleds.
FAQ
Q1: What does “10C” mean and why is 25A important?
A: The C‑rating is the maximum safe continuous discharge current expressed as a multiple of capacity. For a 2500mAh battery, 10C = 2.5A × 10 = 25A. It’s crucial because many turbo flashlights, RC motors, and power tools draw 15–25A. A lower‑rated cell would sag, overheat, or trigger protection.
Q2: Is 2500mAh enough capacity? Will it last?
A: 2500mAh offers a deliberate balance. You sacrifice some capacity to gain 25A capability. At a full 25A draw, runtime is about 6 minutes. On a medium flashlight mode (3A), you’ll get nearly an hour. For high‑drain bursts, it’s the ideal energy‑to‑power ratio.
Q3: Why is this battery unprotected?
A: Removing the protection PCB shortens the cell and lowers internal resistance — both essential for fitting into tight spaces and delivering 25A without excessive heat. As long as you use a quality charger (4.2V termination) and a device with built‑in low‑voltage cutoff, it’s completely safe. The integrated PTC and vent offer additional mechanical safety.
Q4: Should I get Button Top or Flat Top?
A: Check your device. If the positive contact has a spring and a physical ring that would block a flat terminal, you need Button Top. If the tube is very tight or the contacts are flat pads (common in welded packs and many tool batteries), you need Flat Top.
Q5: Can I use this in a headlamp, solar light, or remote control?
A: Technically yes, but it’s overkill and a poor match. Those devices draw very little current and benefit far more from a high‑capacity 3500mAh cell. Using this 10C cell would give you shorter runtime with no performance benefit. It’s best reserved for devices that truly need 15–25A.
Q6: How hot does it get at 25A?
A: With only 18mΩ internal resistance, heat generated at 25A is roughly 11.25W. The cell will become warm after a minute or two, reaching around 65–75°C under sustained full load. This is safe for short bursts, but continuous 25A discharge should be limited to a couple of minutes. Allow cooling between high‑drain runs.
Q7: Can I charge it at 2A or faster?
A: Standard charge is 0.5C (1.25A). Charging at 2A (0.8C) is acceptable and will cut charge time to ~1.5 hours, but may slightly reduce long‑term cycle life. For maximum longevity, stick to 1.25A.
Q8: Is it airline‑safe?
A: Yes. At 9.25Wh, it’s well under the IATA 100Wh limit. Carry it in your hand luggage with terminals insulated. Airlines permit multiple small cells for personal use.
Q9: How does this 10C 2500mAh compare to a 5C 2500mAh or a 10C 2000mAh?
A: The 10C 2500mAh gives you both high current (25A) and decent capacity. A 5C 2500mAh only handles 12.5A but may have slightly lower internal resistance or longer cycle life. A 10C 2000mAh sacrifices 500mAh for a similar discharge rate. Choose this 10C 2500mAh when you need the best combination of amps and amp‑hours.

I measured the capacity at 2480mAh on my Opus BT-C3100. The IR is quite low. Ideal for my 2000 lumen headlamp. Happy purchase.
The 2500mAh is fine, but they are noticeably heavier than my VTC5As. For a high-drain application, they work great, but if weight is your priority, shop around.
I use these in my Arrma Typhon 3S and they handle the 25A burst easily. Didn't get too hot even after a full run. Much better than my old 20A generic cells.
Put these in my Fenix PD36R (high mode) and the difference is noticeable. No more dimming after 5 minutes. These actually deliver on the 25A continuous claim.
Used 10 of these to rebuild a 36V battery pack for my old dewalt. The tool actually has more torque now than when it was new. Highly recommend.
