Step into the sweet spot of high-capacity 18650 performance. With 2800mAh and 10.4 watt-hours of energy, this cell bridges the gap between standard 2500mAh packs and the ultra-premium 3500mAh giants. It delivers roughly 40% more runtime than an entry-level 2000mAh battery, making it the intelligent upgrade for users who demand extended operation without jumping to the heaviest, most expensive cells. Whether you’re lighting up a trail, powering a radio-controlled car, or keeping a garden light glowing until dawn, this battery delivers dependable, long-lasting energy.
We deliberately left off the external protection PCB. The result is a shorter, lighter cell with a direct electrical path — crucial for high-performance devices that already manage their own safety. At just 65.0mm in the flat top version, it slips effortlessly into the tightest flashlight tubes and RC battery trays. Without the extra PCB resistance, voltage sag is minimized, and less energy is wasted as heat. Naturally, this design places responsibility in your hands: always charge with a quality Li-ion charger that terminates at exactly 4.2V, and only use the cell in devices that incorporate their own low-voltage cutoff. The vast majority of enthusiast flashlights, modern RC cars, USB fans, and smart garden lights already meet this requirement, making them ideal partners.
Every device is different, so we offer both styles. The Button Top version features a raised positive nipple that locks securely into spring-loaded compartments and easily clears mechanical reverse-polarity guards. The Flat Top version has a flush positive terminal, mandatory for ultra-compact flashlights with pogo-pin contacts, for building custom spot-welded battery packs, and for any application where a single extra millimeter would prevent the battery door from closing.
Rated for a continuous discharge current of 5A, this cell is optimized for medium-drain applications — precisely where most flashlights, headlamps, RC cars, motorized toys, and garden lights operate. In a modern LED flashlight, expect around 3 hours of bright 300-lumen output, or a full night on a gentle low mode. A lightweight headlamp can easily power a weekend camping trip on one charge. A hobby-grade RC car will tear around the track for noticeably longer before a battery swap. Motorized toys — action figures, robots, building kits — keep running through marathon play sessions. And in a solar garden light with a proper charge controller, the 2800mAh capacity stores enough energy during the day to illuminate pathways from dusk till well past midnight, outperforming the small 1500mAh cells commonly found in these fixtures.
Inside the robust nickel-plated steel can, advanced NMC chemistry maintains a flat 3.7V discharge curve. Your lights stay bright, your motors keep torque, and your toys don’t suddenly slow down. A built-in PTC thermistor restricts current during a short circuit or overload, while a precision safety vent releases pressure under extreme thermal stress. With over 500 full charge cycles and an exceptionally low self-discharge rate, this battery can sit in a drawer for months and still wake up with most of its capacity intact. It’s a sustainable, cost-effective replacement for disposable alkaline batteries, capable of preventing hundreds of single-use cells from reaching landfills.
Substantial 2800mAh (10.4Wh) Capacity
40% more energy than a standard 2000mAh cell. Provides approximately 3 hours of flashlight high-mode runtime, 8-10 hours of headlamp reading light, or extended RC car bashing without frequent swaps.
Unprotected, Ultra-Compact Architecture
Shorter physical length (65.0mm flat top, 66.5mm button top) fits devices that reject protected cells. Lower overall internal resistance means more efficient power delivery and less heat build-up.
Dual Terminal Options for Total Compatibility
Button Top for a secure click in spring-contact devices. Flat Top for tight battery tubes and spot-welded DIY packs. Simply select the version your device manual specifies.
Stable 3.7V NMC Chemistry
Maintains a consistent voltage plateau from 4.2V down to 2.5V. Regulated electronics — flashlights, fans, RC receivers — enjoy unwavering performance until the cell is nearly empty.
Low Internal Resistance (≤65mΩ)
Voltage sag is barely perceptible under typical 1–3A loads, and remains well-controlled even at the maximum 5A continuous discharge. Your devices extract every usable mAh.
500+ Cycle Life & Minimal Self-Discharge
Recharge hundreds of times with minimal capacity fade. Holds its charge for months when stored at the recommended 3.6–3.7V, ready for emergencies or seasonal use.
Integrated Passive Safety
A resettable PTC thermistor and a resealable pressure vent offer first-line defense against overcurrent and extreme internal pressure. The steel can resists corrosion, leaks, and accidental drops.
Environmentally Responsible
One 2800mAh 18650 replaces hundreds of disposable alkaline batteries over its life. Zero memory effect allows partial top-ups without capacity loss.

Flashlights & EDC Torches
Drop this 2800mAh cell into any enthusiast flashlight (ZebraLight, Emisar, Wurkkos, Convoy, etc.) that accepts unprotected 18650s and features low-voltage protection. On a 300-lumen medium mode, you’ll get around 3 hours of stable light. The flat top fits ultra-tight battery tubes, while the button top ensures positive contact in spring-loaded hosts. Perfect for night walks, security patrols, and emergency kits.
Headlamps for Extended Use
Trail runners, campers, and mechanics will appreciate the extra runtime. At a comfortable 100-lumen setting, expect over 8 hours of hands-free illumination. The cell’s moderate weight keeps the headlamp balanced and comfortable during active movement.
RC Cars & Hobby Vehicles
Standard 1/10 and 1/16 scale RC cars often run on 18650-based packs or direct-cell trays. With a 5A continuous discharge, this battery powers brushed motors and budget brushless setups reliably. The 2800mAh capacity provides noticeably longer runtimes than the 2000mAh cells often supplied, meaning more track time between charges.
Motorized Toys & Models
Action figures, robot kits, and educational STEM toys that accept 18650 cells benefit from the extended playtime. Children can enjoy a full afternoon of fun without swapping batteries. The button top is typically required for toy battery holders with simple spring contacts.
Solar & Motion-Activated Garden Lights
Many outdoor garden lights use removable 18650 cells. This 2800mAh version stores more energy during daylight hours, ensuring pathways and flowerbeds stay illuminated well into the night. It’s an ideal upgrade for lights that originally shipped with 1500–2000mAh batteries, provided the device has its own charge controller with over-discharge protection.
DIY Battery Packs & Hobby Electronics
The flat top variant is designed for spot welding into custom 2S or 3S packs for Bluetooth speakers, portable monitors, drone ground stations, or IoT projects. Unprotected architecture gives you total freedom over your battery management system, and the consistent capacity makes cell balancing straightforward.
Emergency Backup & Power Banks
Store a few charged cells in a waterproof container for power outages, camping trips, or natural disasters. Their low self-discharge means they’ll still be ready to power a flashlight, radio, or USB charger months later.
Q1: How much better is 2800mAh compared to 2000mAh?
A: It’s a 40% capacity increase. In practical terms, if your flashlight lasts 2 hours on a 2000mAh cell, this one will give you nearly 3 hours. For RC cars, that could mean an extra 10–15 minutes of runtime. It’s a meaningful step up without the premium price of 3000mAh+ cells.
Q2: Why is this battery unprotected?
A: Removing the protection PCB makes the cell shorter and lowers internal resistance. This is essential for many enthusiast flashlights and RC car battery trays that cannot physically fit a longer protected cell. It does mean you must only use it in a device that has its own low-voltage cutoff (most modern LED lights and hobby electronics do) and always charge it with a reliable Li-ion charger that stops at 4.2V.
Q3: Should I buy Button Top or Flat Top?
A: Check your device. If the positive contact has a spring and a plastic ring that would block a flat top, choose Button Top. If the battery tube is extremely tight or the contacts are flat metal pads, choose Flat Top. For building welded packs, flat top is mandatory.
Q4: Can I use this battery in a doorbell that originally used a 2000mAh cell?
A: Yes, but it’s overkill. Doorbells sip microamps in standby and even a 2000mAh battery can last over a year. A 2800mAh will work and last even longer, as long as the doorbell has low-voltage protection. However, the true value of this cell is in actively power-hungry devices like flashlights, RC cars, and toys.
Q5: What’s the maximum current I can safely draw?
A: 5A continuous. This is more than enough for any single-cell LED flashlight (even on turbo), most RC car brushed motors, and small fans. Do not use it in high-drain power tools, or custom RC setups that pull 10A+ — for those, choose a high-rate IMR or INR battery.
Q6: How long does it take to charge?
A: At the recommended 1.4A, a full charge from empty takes around 2.5 hours. A 1A charger will take roughly 3.5 hours. Always use a charger specifically designed for 3.7V Li-ion cells.
Q7: How should I store this unprotected cell?
A: Keep it in a plastic battery case away from coins, keys, or other metal objects. For storage longer than a month, bring the voltage to approximately 3.6–3.7V (about 50% charge). Check the voltage every 3 months and recharge if it drops below 3.0V. Never store a completely empty cell.
Q8: Is this battery safe to take on an airplane?
A: Yes. At 10.4Wh, it is well under the 100Wh IATA limit for carry-on baggage. Insulate the terminals with tape or a cap, and always carry it in your hand luggage.

I built a 2S pack with these 2800mAh flat tops for a 1/10 scale RC drift car. They deliver plenty of current for my brushed motor and last around 20 minutes of constant sliding. No voltage sag until the very end. Great for hobbyists.
My solar garden lights used to go dim by 2am with the original 1800mAh cells. I swapped in these 2800mAh, and now they stay bright until sunrise. The flat top design dropped right in. I¡¯m ordering another set for the front yard.
Used these to replace the worn-out cells in my daughter¡¯s ride-on tractor. The 2800mAh gives it noticeably more playtime. Only issue was the flat top was slightly shorter than the original button top, so I added a blob of solder to the contact. After that, works perfectly. Good cells.
I use this 2800mAh cell in both my Convoy M1 flashlight and my portable USB fan. It gives me about 3 hours on medium light, and 6 hours of low fan speed. The button top works in both devices. It¡¯s become my go-to capacity for everyday use.
