Genuine LG Chem Cell – 100% authentic LG INR18650 MJ1, manufactured to strict quality standards for consistent performance and safety.
Ultra-High 3500mAh Capacity – Minimizes recharging, extends device runtime, and is perfect for long-duration applications like solar lighting and security cameras.
10A Continuous Discharge – Delivers stable, clean power for medium-drain devices; enough headroom for most regulated flashlights, portable fans, and power banks.
Multiple Terminal Options – Available as Flat Top (for spring-contact devices), Button Top (for reverse-polarity protection), Nickel Tab (ready for spot welding), and Nickel Tab with Wire (easy connection for DIY packs).
Excellent Cycle Life – Up to 500 charge/discharge cycles with ≥70% capacity retention under standard conditions, reducing long-term replacement costs.
Low Internal Resistance (≤40mΩ) – Minimizes voltage sag under load, ensuring consistent brightness and performance.
Wide Compatibility – A go-to cell for LED flashlights, camping lanterns, solar garden lights, wireless cameras, e-bike/scooter packs, and portable medical devices.
Safety Engineered – Built-in safety features including PTC, CID, and vent; always use a BMS/protection circuit for multi-cell configurations.

Q: Is the capacity always 3500 mAh?
A: LG Chem specifies the typical capacity as 3500 mAh with a minimum of 3400 mAh under standard test conditions (0.2C to 2.5V). In real-world use, you can expect approximately 3400–3500 mAh, which provides excellent runtime. The difference is negligible for most applications.
Q: Which terminal type should I choose?
A: Select based on your device or project:
Flat Top: Standard for flashlights with spring-loaded contacts.
Button Top: Required for devices needing a raised positive terminal for reverse-polarity protection or certain battery holders.
Nickel Tab: Pre-welded nickel strips for spot welding into battery packs. Do NOT solder directly to the cell.
Nickel Tab with Wire: Same as above, but includes pre-attached wires for easy soldering to connectors or circuits.
Q: Can I use the MJ1 for vaping or high-drain devices?
A: No. Vaping devices with sub-ohm coils often demand 15–30 A, which exceeds the MJ1's 10 A continuous rating. Doing so can cause dangerous overheating, severe voltage sag, and permanent cell damage. For high-drain applications, use cells like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6 rated for 20 A+.
Q: Do I need a protection circuit (BMS) for multi-cell packs?
A: Yes, absolutely. When building packs in series or parallel, always install a BMS rated for at least 10 A to protect against overcharge, over-discharge, and balancing issues. This is crucial for safety and lifespan.
Q: How should I store and maintain these cells?
A: Store in a cool, dry place at 3.6–3.7 V (about 40% state of charge). Avoid storing fully charged or fully discharged for extended periods. Recharge before first use, and never discharge below 2.5 V. Use a quality 18650-compatible charger.
Q: Can I solder wires directly onto the nickel tabs or the cell?
A: You may solder onto the pre-attached wires (Nickel Tab with Wire version) carefully without applying heat to the cell body. Never solder directly onto the battery terminals or the nickel tabs spot-welded to the cell—excessive heat can damage the internal structure and safety vent. For custom connections, always use a spot welder or purchase the pre-wired option.
